It's Been Too Long: We've Got Some Catching Up To Do

My husband and I bought a historic home several years ago with the intent to add on and remodel it someday. We planned, replanned, and discussed it for years. When it finally came time to start the process, it turned out to be nothing like we had anticipated. Timelines were foggy, costs were even foggier. Twenty months later, we were frustrated and feeling defeated.

We finished the house, moved in, and it truly is everything we wanted. However, it made me take a serious look at how I wanted to run my business and the kind of service I wanted to provide my clients. It needed to be better... the communication clearer... the timeline defined... and the costs upfront... all while delivering a fantastically designed kitchen that brings the client's vision to life.

So, after months of polishing and revamping, I am excited to announce my new service: Folkway Co. Kitchens.

The kitchen is widely regarded as the heart of the home, and for good reason. It transcends its utilitarian purpose to become the place where families gather, and memories are made. Beyond being a space for cooking, it serves as a hub for sharing stories, laughter, and love over meals. From morning coffee rituals to bustling dinner preparations, the kitchen is where the rhythm of daily life unfolds.

After completing our house, I decided to focus on creating and remodeling kitchens. While I have loved helping clients with all aspects of their homes over the years, this new focus will allow me to assist more clients and alleviate stress from their projects.

With the help of 3D photorealistic rendering technology, I am able to show clients their kitchens before the contractor begins work. Plus, with my streamlined process, the design portion will be complete in 4-6 weeks. The homeowner will have everything they need at that point to provide the contractor with instructions to build their kitchen, down to the location of each cabinet handle.

Over the next several weeks, I will be sending more information about our new Folkway Co. Kitchens process and offerings. You can always visit our website to get all the details there too!

We are excited for what lies ahead and can't wait to be a part of your kitchen projects.
